Here’s a way to know which one holds more sway in your decision making including what you are willing to ingest or avoid.

Which do you hear yourself say more often:

I feel . . .
It’s so fun for me to notice this in my private clients. It gives me a major clue on how to help them unravel what drives them to eat crap.
Personally, I began this work as an “I think” person. My intellect provided my value. Was I beautiful? Maybe? Was I wicked smart? Hell, YES!
There are two major problems with that reality.
- Your brain lies! It doesn’t mean to deceive you but it uses your history against you. It thrives on patterns and if your weight loss history is:
lose– gain – lose -gain, your brain uses that pattern to keep you stuck.
- Your body came factory equipped with the information you need to reach and maintain your natural weight.

It reminds me of a running joke you’ve heard about having kids. How do you know if you made the right decisions. They don’t come with instructions.
Except, you do. It’s that tiny voice inside you called intuition. You’ve accessed it anytime you’ve said: “I just have a gut feeling.”
Revisit one of those moments in your life. Did you listen to it or did you override it in favor of logic? Remember, your mind relies on old data; memories. It takes a limited set of details and then makes gigantic leaps of logic filling in the blanks.
And, then you label that conclusion as wisdom. But I’m inviting you to consider that true wisdom lives in your body. It drives those gut feelings.
