Hello, Beauties! What if you believed that calm is always available to you and refused to be confused? Today’s focus is time and more specifically how to STOP wasting your own time. This little nugget came to me as part of a tool I want to share with you. While cleaning my mind, my internal wisdom said:
Calm is always available to you: Refuse to be Confused
What if you believed that was totally 100% true? No matter how anxious you felt, how overwhelmed, how desperate? Even when no clear solution presents itself and you have no idea what the “right” decision is?
I want to invite you to suspend your doubt for the moment. Your brain is probably in full on argument mode as you read or listen. It offers the words “Yeah, but . . . ” followed by all the reasons confusion rules and calm is hard to find.
Celebrate that wariness. Nothing has gone wrong. Your brain is working exactly as it is designed. At the same time, that defense mechanism thrives on drama and trickery which increase the confusion and steal the calm.
You create your own magic when you choose to connect to your body
The truest voice that ALWAYS acts in your best interest.
Enter the tool that reconnects me to my internal wisdom time after time. It cost you nothing, it is easy to use. And it will make you intensely uncomfortable the first few times you use it. But the results you receive heavily outweigh the awkwardness.
Before you dig in, a few words about being willing to feel awkward without shoving it away or distracting yourself. The worse thing that can ever happen to you is a feeling. If you choose to sit with it instead of acting on it, you begin to move from reacting to the world to choosing – you guessed it – calm.
AND refusing confusion!
So, let’s get started
You need paper, pen, a timer, 10 minutes and zero distractions. Turn your phone off, leave it in the other room. Find a quiet place where you can be uninterrupted for 10 minutes.
Before you start, look inward. What are you physically feeling? The buzz of overwhelm? Tightness in your chest?
Now, Start the timer and commit to staying seated and engaged until the buzzer sounds. You will want to quit about half way thru but if you stay seated, your brain WILL kick back in.
Let your mind rant on paper!
No right or wrong!
Literally, write whatever pops into your head!
This is what your mind is doing ALL the time!
Just bouncing from one subject to another.
As you write, you should feel your body start to relax. You are relieving the pressure in your brain created by repetitive thoughts going in great big frustrating circles.
BONUS: as you burn thru all that mind clutter, you start to tap into YOUR wisdom.
You already have all the pieces you need to lose weight.
They are just buried behind and under years of stories.
Embracing tools that allow you to keep your mind clean of all the unuseful things that keep showing up automatically. You can’t keep them from showing up but you can refuse to let them keep you stuck in confusion.
Challenging thoughts that appear to be fact takes courage.
Being courageous requires knowing how to allow awkward without acting on it.
If you’re leaning in, saying teach me, I hope you can see my ear to ear smile.
The next PhD in Y-O-U Class starts February 7th and one of the seats is for YOU!
